LTW Youth Continue to Bridge the Gap with Project Bridge for HSA Students

Wednesday, December 18, 2024

Lead The Way youth leaders Mohammad Mohammad and Muhammad Musse met with Coach Aden to discuss the future of Project Bridge, a mentorship program they founded to connect students across grades at their school.

What is Project Bridge?

Born out of a need to bridge the gap between 9th/10th graders and 11th/12th graders following the separation of their school buildings, Project Bridge has become a transformative initiative. Mohammad and Muhammad have worked tirelessly to develop a program that helps prepare younger students for high school success and supports older students as mentors.

Since its launch, Project Bridge has gained significant attention from students and staff, solidifying its reputation as a program that fosters leadership, mentorship, and community.

Expanding the Vision

As the founders prepare for their own graduation, they are already making plans to expand Project Bridge’s reach. Their vision now includes working with middle school students, giving all high schoolers the opportunity to act as both mentors and mentees.

This forward-thinking approach aims to build a culture of peer support and leadership that begins before students even enter high school. It’s a testament to the founders’ commitment to ensuring every student is equipped for success.

A Legacy of Leadership

The success of Project Bridge reflects the dedication and leadership of Mohammad and Muhammad. Their ability to identify a need, create a solution, and inspire others to join their mission is nothing short of remarkable.

“We’re proud to see the incredible impact these young leaders have made in their school and beyond,” said Coach Aden. “Their work is a shining example of what can be achieved with passion and perseverance.”

Looking Ahead

As Project Bridge grows, the program will continue to empower students to mentor, learn, and thrive together. Congratulations to Mohammad and Muhammad for their visionary leadership and for creating a program that will benefit future generations.
