This evening the Groveport-Madison Board of Education recognized students, including Lead the Way Learning Academy youth. Mi'Angel Cochran was commended for her efforts on the GMHS cheerleading team, which secured a paid bid to nationals. Elliot Philips was recognized for his contribution to the student advisory committee where he served as President during the 2023-2024 school year.

In addition to honoring students, the Board acknowledged the invaluable contributions of longstanding staff members, with accolades for those who have dedication 25, 30, 35, and 40 years to teaching in Groveport-Madison Schools

Students from various parts of the school district came to speak to the board about the various issues and accomplishments.  Elementary school students from the gifted program shared their remarkable work, inviting Board members to witness their endeavors firsthand. Meanwhile, students from the middle school came to inform the board of the suggestions to improve their educational experience.

Overall, the meeting was a mix of community, impact, politics and a common goal to make Groveport a conducive place for all its residents to live and learn. Lead The Way Learning Academy is proud to be a community partner for a community that prides itself on listening to the voices of its constituents.
