Groveport-Madison HS (GMHS) held their annual State of the Schools address and District Art showcase last night at GMHS. The event was a Groveport-Madison School District effort to host members of the community and inform them what is happening within their schools. The Board of Education President (Latoya Dowdell-Burger), Vice President (Seth Bower) and Treasurer (Adam Collier) all presented to an auditorium filled with families.
Students of the Career Center Culinary Program prepared and served food for attendees. Their variety of food stations from brisket, pasta, to egg rolls, and dessert, made sure every community member's palate was satiated.
Art works from students at every school building in the district were on display in Art Gallery walk in the Main Gymnasium. Musical performances were put on by the band and the choir. GMHS cheerleaders dazzled the crowd with their routine.
LTWLA's very own, Elliot Phillips, could be found representing the Marketing Program in the Cruiser Store. Elliot is the Senior President of the Student Advisory Board and member of LTWLA since 4/2023.
LTWLA, along with several other community partners, was able to set up a table and engage with families within the district. Our team members were prepared to discuss with the community all the wonderful things we have partnered with GMHS on, our accomplishments over the past year, and what the program continues to offer year-round. Lead The Way is grateful for the support of GMHS and looks forward to a continued partnership with the district.
