In a thrilling rivalry matchup, the Groveport Madison High School football team clinched a nail-biting 29-27 victory over Canal Winchester. This hard-fought win not only gave the team bragging rights, but also secured them the #8 seed in the Division 1 Region 3 Ohio State Playoffs. For the first time since 2020, the Cruisers will host a playoff game, set to face Delaware Hayes this Friday.
Lead The Way seniors Imar Dunlap, Keishaun Calhoun, and Marshawn Johnson have been instrumental this season, leading the way for the Cruisers. Their contributions, along with a strong senior class, have propelled Groveport Madison to a solid 6-4 record. With the momentum from their victory against a tough Canal Winchester team, the Cruisers are ready to make a statement this postseason.
