Celebrating Success: CYSP Thanksgiving Dinner Highlights Student and Parent Achievements

Tuesday, November 19, 2024

With Fall break approaching, Horizon Science Academy took the opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the first three months of the school year. On Tuesday, November 19th, students in the Concept Young Scholars Program (CYSP) gathered with their families and staff to celebrate their milestones during the annual Thanksgiving Dinner.

The CYSP program, which includes many of our Lead The Way students, focuses on personal development, college readiness, and community service. This special evening not only recognized the students’ accomplishments but also celebrated the invaluable contributions of their parents and guardians. Horizon Science Academy made it a priority to ensure parents felt appreciated for the crucial role they play in their children’s success.

A highlight of the evening was a video presentation that showcased the diverse range of in-school and out-of-school activities students have participated in so far. From community service projects to academic achievements, the presentation offered a heartwarming glimpse into the growth and dedication of these young scholars.

The Thanksgiving Dinner served as a platform to encourage and inspire all attendees. “It’s amazing to see how much the program has helped my child grow—not just academically, but as a person,” shared one parent. The event left families reassured that their efforts and support are making a meaningful difference.

The evening was a heartwarming celebration of community, achievement, and gratitude. Horizon Science Academy extends its thanks to everyone who contributed to making the event a success and looks forward to seeing continued growth and success from CYSP students in the months ahead.
