This week was full of life and excitement amongst the West High School Cowboys!

Monday, the students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a full celebration highlighting the diverse Latino population at the school and in the community. The gymnasium was festive and full of pride as each nation was represented by their respective flags as well as musical and dance performances along with a mini parade of young ladies in their Quinceanera gowns. It was amazing to see so many students engaged!

On Tuesday, the Girls Varsity Volleyball team competed in the State Tournament against fellow Columbus City School, Linden McKinley. The girls won and moved on to play against a very strong St. Francis DeSales team on Thursday.

On Saturday, the Varsity Boys Soccer team competed and fell short against the Bishop Hartley Hawks. Although the girls' volleyball and boys' soccer teams' state tournament journey came to a close, they were still victorious in their team effort and ability to uplift one another. Go Cowboys!
