The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio's Business Advisory Council (ESC BAC) has honored Anthony Murphy, executive director of Lead The Way, with the 2025 Business-Education Connection Award—a recognition that celebrates outstanding contributions to bridging the gap between the business sector and education in Central Ohio.
Murphy, a longtime youth advocate and visionary leader, received the award for his exceptional work in empowering young people through leadership development, workforce readiness, and community engagement. Under his direction, Lead The Way has become a transformative force—connecting students to career pathways, mentorship opportunities, and life-changing experiences rooted in service, education, and real-world skill-building.
Through innovative programing Lead The Way has built sustainable partnerships between schools, businesses, and nonprofits. Murphy’s leadership ensures that young people—especially those from underserved communities—are not only heard but empowered to lead.
His ability to build strong, authentic relationships between local businesses, educators, and students has strengthened Central Ohio’s educational pipeline and created more opportunities for young people to explore careers in high-demand industries, including healthcare, technology, skilled trades, and public service.
