On the rainy Monday evening, the Cornerstone High School cafeteria transformed into a festive hub of celebration as the Class of 2025 gathered for their Senior Dinner. The event was a heartwarming tribute to the achievements of the senior class, bringing together over 35 students, alumni, and staff from both Cornerstone Academy and Lead The Way.
A Festive Evening of Food and Fun
The evening began with students enjoying a buffet-style dinner, generously catered by Olive Garden. The spread included a variety of pasta, sauces, protein options, salad, and, of course, boxes of Olive Garden’s famous breadsticks. The cafeteria was adorned with balloons and festive decorations, creating a joyful atmosphere despite the rainy weather outside.
Students also participated in a fun-filled Beanie Baby Toss, a winter-themed adaptation of the popular Trunk or Treat game. The activity allowed students to earn raffle tickets for a chance to win exciting prizes later in the evening.
Learning from Alumni
With plates of food cleared and slices of cake in hand, students turned their attention to an alumni panel featuring graduates from Cornerstone’s classes of 2022 and 2024. The alumni shared their experiences navigating college life, offering valuable insights and advice to the soon-to-be graduates. This session was an opportunity for seniors to ask questions, gain perspective, and feel inspired as they prepare for their own journeys after high school.
Raffle and Recognition
The evening concluded with an exciting raffle. For the past two weeks, seniors had been earning tickets through activities in Senior Advisory class, including completing assignments, helping out, and participating in games. The night’s big winners were five lucky seniors who each took home DoorDash gift cards—a coveted prize they can use on Fridays, when seniors are allowed to order delivery to the school.
Acknowledgments and Congratulations
The success of this event wouldn’t have been possible without the collaborative efforts of Lead The Way and Cornerstone staff. A special thanks to Lead The Way leadership for providing the delicious Olive Garden dinner, cake, and decorations, and to the Cornerstone staff and administration for ensuring the evening ran smoothly.
