A Milestone to Remember: Mario Jordan and New Albany Seniors Celebrate Success Through Noble Academy

Tuesday, November 26, 2024

Today was a momentous day for seniors at New Albany High School as they walked the halls one last time, marking a significant milestone ahead of their May graduation. Among these students was Mario Jordan, a standout senior in the Lead The Way program, who has achieved remarkable milestones on his journey to success.

Mario’s path to graduation was supported by New Albany’s Noble Academy, an alternative pathway program that helps students explore unique routes to earning their diplomas. On his final day, Mario brought smiles and laughter to his classmates by wearing a dinosaur costume and ringing the Noble Academy bell—a cherished tradition that celebrates the completion of a student’s high school journey.

Mario’s accomplishments extend beyond the classroom. In the summer of 2023, he participated in the Ready to Earn program with Turner Construction, gaining valuable hands-on experience. Later that year, he joined the Lead The Way program, where he earned his Industry Recognized Seal for graduation by completing Lean Six Sigma training. Mario also attended a college tour at Ohio State University Newark, further preparing him for his next steps. Reflecting on his experience, Mario shared, “I really felt supported through this process. I learned how to set goals and adapt when plans changed, which has prepared me for the future.”

Looking ahead, Mario plans to attend Indiana Tech in the fall of 2025 to study Mechanical Engineering and join the university’s wrestling team. In the months leading up to graduation, he plans to work and focus on growing his streaming channel. You can follow his streaming journey on Twitch (@TheMistgaming1) and YouTube (@TheMistgaming).

The Noble Academy program continues to play an essential role in providing alternative pathways for students like Mario, ensuring they have the tools and support to succeed. Lead The Way congratulates Mario and all the other seniors at New Albany High School who will complete their classes by the end of December. We wish the Class of 2025 success and joy as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives!
